My simple Daily Make-up Routine

My every day make up routine is so simple to do that I just knew it had to be a post on my blog. When I have a lecture at 9am and I'm rushing about at 8.30 trying to get ready, I need something quick and easy that still looks pretty! I am really happy with my make up routine at the moment and I think that it combines a good mix of products- showing how I like a variety of different brands of make up- especially at the moment when I keep finding so many amazing products from loads of different brands that I would normally not usually go for!

L'oreal's True match foundation in "golden ivory" is my current favourite foundation. I prefer liquid foundation to any other as I feel it gives a much more dewy, healthy finish to the skin. I love this foundation as it doesn't make your face looked caked in make up but still gives a good coverage. The colour is also good for my pale skin tone, as I usually find it hard to get a foundation that doesn't make my skin look orange but this one does the trick!

On my cheeks I use Benefit's "coralista" blush. I have loved this product for a good couple of years now and  it's definitely going to be making another appearance on my Christmas list this year! The peachy pink tones are gorg but my favourite thing about this blush is the subtle shimmer that runs through it, adding a bit of depth to your complexion.
(I HATE the brush inside though.... not the softest of make up brushes!)

On my eyes I love to use my Urban Decay "naked pallette" I use this pallet  everyday  and it has colours for every occasion. I love shimmery eyeshadows so thats why I love this pallet. The colours are subtle and beautiful on the eye. Not the mention the fact that they all complement eachother! On a day to day basis, I tend to use "sin" all over my lid and "naked" in the crease to add some definition to the eye. This is my MUST have make up product at the moment and I would really recommend it.
I like to use this Rimmel Exaggerate liquid eyeliner in
"001 black". The colour is intense and the product is very easy to apply and I find that it lasts all day. I am a big lover of liquid eye liners as I feel that they give your eyes so much more depth and definition, it makes me look so much more put together that if I went without. I apply this to my top lash line, I prefer just a thin line however it would be very easy to build up a much thicker line for a more dramatic look for a night out.

The mascara I am loving at the moment is the Revlon Fabulash  Waterproof  mascara in  "01 Blackest Black".  I  find that the brush is the perfect size to create both length and volume. I have mascaras where the brush is too big as I find them so hard to use but this is prefect for me. I apply two coats to my top and bottom lashes to make my eyes look more awake.
Lastly, on an everyday basis, I tend not to wear a bright lip even although I love pretty pink lipstick. I find that this Vaseline "Rosy Lips" balm is ideal for everyday. It provides a hint of pink to the lips and you can apply it easily without a mirror. This is good for me on an everyday basis as I don't have time to be constantly reapplying Lipstick and lipliner all day! Vaseline also has the added benefits of being cheap as chips and being great at keeping your lips conditioned and healthy.

Haircare Essentials I am Loving!

Dazzling Shine at a Dazzling Price!

So, I should probably mention that I am a student and yes, as the stereotype suggests I don't have much spare cash to be spending on beauty buys. I always try and buy products that are affordable and I will very rarely buy a luxury brand of a beauty product, especially when there are such good, cheaper alternatives out there.

In the past, I've had a very much love-hate relationship with Herbal Essences haircare. I go through fazes of liking it and then my hair seems to get a bit dull and bored of it. At the moment, I am very much loving it! And I am also loving the vamped up packaging. I bought a small bottle of the "Herbal Essences Dazzling Shine" shampoo around a month ago and started using it a little sceptically but I was very pleasantly surprised. I absolutely love it! It does exactly what it says on the bottle. Since starting to use it my hair feels so much more healthy, shiny and soft- not to mention the amazing smell the shampoo leaves your hair with! Last week I went into boots and bought the bigger bottle of the shampoo and also the conditioner. My hair can often get greasy very quickly so I am careful about the conditioner I apply to it. With this conditioner, I only have good things to say, it doesn't leave my hair greasy at all and is a great product to use in combination with the shampoo! Overall a great budget buy!

Nail of the Day

My Autumn Nails

I wanted to spice up my nail varnish collection this week, while still staying on trend for the Autumn season! Harder than you might think, considering the major colours I love this season are so dark! I bought a new Revlon polish, as these are my all time favourite polishes! They are so opaque and easy to apply but to be honest, I do think they are a little on the expensive side but I thought I would treat myself.... and I am SO glad I did! The colour is literally beautiful! Maybe I should actually mention the colour... it is called "midnight" and is a gorgeous deep green/ blue colour. I love the colour but also wanted to make it a little more exciting, so I decided to add a glittery "technic" top coat that I've had for ages but never used! I bought the polish in Bodycare a few months ago and it was only £1. To be honest, I thought the price was too low for the polish to actually be any good but I love the blue flex of glitter over the turquoise Revlon polish. In conclusion, LOVE my nails right now!

Glitteryyyyy!

Kate Moss

Collection for Rimmel

I am really not usually a fan of Kate Moss in general, she always seems like a right moody cow! However, I have to admit that I love her new collection for Rimmel. Well I should really say that I love the look of it because I haven't actually tried any of the lipsticks yet. I am trying to decide what one I want to try out most and I am having a dilemma! (First World Problems)

The shades all look beautiful and most of them are firmly  in my comfort zone! I usually go for peachy, pinky toned lipsticks as I think darker shades are so much easier to wear. However I think I am going to step out my comfort zone and try the plum coloured lipstick (107). It looks beautiful but I am terrified of it! A lot of beauty bloggers I follow are wearing these dark plum coloured lip products and suit it so much but I am so unsure if my skin tone will suit it. I think I have talked myself into trying it out though! I will post how I get on and a picture if it doesn't make  me too scary and gothic.... ah well, at least it will be in keeping with Halloween next week!

Here is the lipstick collection, give it a look... they are beautiful looking!

  Well Kate suits 107!

Super cute packaging! :)

A few swatches, so gorg!
